By installing or using Gmail Task Creator ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

Gmail Task Creator is a free, open-source browser extension that adds a button to Gmail's compose toolbar. It allows you to create Google Tasks from emails without leaving Gmail. The Extension is provided as-is, at no cost.

3. Google Account & Third-Party Services

The Extension requires a Google account and uses the following Google services:

Google Tasks API — to create tasks on your behalf
Google OAuth 2.0 — to authenticate your identity
Google userinfo API — to identify your account email

Your use of these services is governed by Google's Terms of Service and the Google API Services User Data Policy. The Extension's use of data received from Google APIs adheres to those policies, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Extension only for its intended purpose — creating Google Tasks from Gmail. You agree not to:

Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the Extension for malicious purposes
Use the Extension in any way that violates Google's Terms of Service
Use the Extension to access or store data beyond what is required to create a task

5. No Warranty

The Extension is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Extension will:

Work without interruption or errors
Be compatible with all future versions of Gmail, Chrome, or Edge
Remain available indefinitely

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Gmail Task Creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Extension, including but not limited to loss of data or tasks.

7. Changes to the Extension or Terms

We reserve the right to update the Extension or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision.

8. Open Source

The source code for this Extension is publicly available at:

You are free to fork and self-host the Extension for personal use in accordance with the repository's license.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it from your browser. Uninstalling the Extension removes all locally stored data immediately.
